I Play Dungeons and Dragons

I love playing me some 5th edition D&D! I've played a high elf life cleric, a mousefolk battlemaster fighter, and right now I'm playing an aarakocra college of valor bard! She is such a fun character to play! I'll have to post a picture of what she looks like! <3

Does anyone else here play 5th edition dnd? I would love to know what you play for characters! :3

Valor bard was a fun character build to play! I played one in the Out of the Abyss campaign, where my bard Sasha DeVello tried to bring music and happiness to the people of the Underdark, but ended up just bringing down horrific creatures with surprise spells. I've also played a tiefling sorceress, dragonborn barbarian shaman, and halfling ranger. All of them were good fun!

@FaeLuna Oh I'm playing a druid in Out of the Abyss as well! Gah that campaign is so sad ;-; we've ran into the demigorgan 3 times now and everytime one of us has gained madness 😭
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
Our party had so much madness... Our dwarf cleric ended up thinking he was a human, I turned into a narcissistic kleptomaniac, and the rogue was paranoid that everyone was gossiping about her behind her back, and got really defensive about it. Oh, it was bad.

@FaeLuna Yeahhhh I'm just expecting stuff like that to happen soon ;-; we're almost level 4! There was one time I wildshaped into a giant spider and we saw a demon lord. I was frozen for 1 minute while crying and laughing hysterically. It was so bad! 😭
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
Oh, so you probably haven't started getting the permanent madnesses yet. Good luck! You'll need it!

The Underdark is not a friendly place for surface-dwellers.
MakaKitten · 22-25, F
@FaeLuna Thanks! We can heal it with greater restoration. We've already had 1 person die and we had to revive him! Me and another guy were at 2 and 2 for succeeds and fails on death saving throws. It was scary!
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
2 and 2 on death saves? Oh, I bet that was a tense roll. Basically a coin flip on whether or not you live or die.
MakaKitten · 22-25, F
@FaeLuna Gah I wanted to cry! It was so tense! I've had only 1 character die and I bawled for like 10 minutes 😭 I get too attached to my characters!
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
Me too! Luckily haven't had too many die. I think I lost one many years ago fighting the final boss of the campaign, and it was a fitting death for her, so I wasn't too upset. I've come close a lot of times, but my party is really good at making sure everyone stays up!
MakaKitten · 22-25, F
@FaeLuna Same here! It's always really sad when a character died unless it's a fitting death. Our dm is super good at making sure our characters have a good chance of living!
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
Our DM claims to be merciless, going by what fate the dice decree, but he hasn't killed a character in at least five years, except for the one that died because the player wanted to reroll. He's a total softy!
MakaKitten · 22-25, F
@FaeLuna Softy dms are always nice! Our dm is actually my boyfriend! He is super nice to our entire group though! The group I've been playing the out of the abyss campaign with I've been playing with for almost 2 years! I've made so many friends though DnD! It's awesome!
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
Nice! Finding a good group is one of the hardest parts of the game, I've found. Not everyone plays it the same, and some groups are more strict with things and relaxed on others, so I'm glad you've found one that you like!
MakaKitten · 22-25, F
@FaeLuna Heck yeah! Having a group full of friends makes playing a lot easier that's for sure! I recently met someone else who is into DnD and it would be fun to get more people into our group for sure!
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
I've been lucky to keep basically the same group since college! We were always in the library Wednesday nights renting out a conference room. Nowadays we meet at someone's house every once in a while and Skype in those that moved too far away. It's not the same as having us all in the same spot, but it works.
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
At this point, if our group stopped playing, I don't know if I would go through the trouble of finding a new one.
MakaKitten · 22-25, F
@FaeLuna Sameeeee I feel like our group is too close at this point ;-;
