WHAT THE HELL STEAM?!
Guys I know many of you won't relate, but to those who do, Steam just changed their award system! Now, awards no longer give points. To anyone who don't know and is curious, these points had no real world value, and could simply be used to buy cosmetic items on Steam.
I used to create simple mods, technical guides, and fanart on Steam, and I always viewed the points I got from awards as a thank you for my free work.
They made this change because some people would rage-bait in discussion forums for clown awards, to farm points. Who cares?!
They really thought that the best solution to this so called problem was to punish genuine creators?
I am genuinely upset. It wasn't much, but it was something. I don't understand why creators who benefit the whole community, no longer deserve cosmetic items as a thank you.
They could just have limited point-giving awards to the workshop. Smh.
