Graphics aren't everything. The problem with many of today's video games: they're not fun to play.

Now, don't get me wrong, stunning visuals can definitely add to the gaming experience. But I prefer games that offer enjoyable gameplay over those that rely solely on stunning graphics to impress. For example, Virtual On. It might not have cutting-edge graphics by today's standards, but back in the day, we had a blast playing it. The gameplay is what keeps us coming back for more, not just the shiny graphics.

Then there's Minecraft. A game that sparks imagination and creativity. Minecraft isn't my personal cup of tea. However, despite its simplistic graphics, even after 13 years, Minecraft remains one of the most played games today.

Well said.
These days they concentrate mainly on the story line(good only to certain extent) than the actual game itself.C'mon guys we want to play the game, not watch a movie.
One of the many reasons why I loved Sekiro and Elden ring among the recent games I have played.

I prefer interactive environments over flashy visuals. Some of the best were in the red faction series, which debuted in 2001.
