Do you play older computer games?

Well, I do. I enjoyed the Hoyle games. One in particular called Hoyle Casino Empire. It's basically a simulation of you running a casino. I have three bathrooms and these people are like, where's the bathroom? As they walk right past it. Not sure if that's a bug or something. But I, for the life of me could not get this game to display properly. So a few years ago I read this post online but didn't really understand it. So last night I took the time to understand it.

You have to download something called DxWnd. It's an "Open Source app designed to make older Windows games that run in a window load fullscreen, improving video modes, compatibility, and more."

When I looked at the instructions online, apparently there are these import files built into DxWnd. I think what it is, someone had an issue, logged a file, it got figured out and that "figured out" part got turned into a settings file that's compiled into DxWnd.

My only complaint is I can only get the game to run in a window, and not fullscreen. I'm still playing around with the settings to see if/how I can get it in fullscreen mode, but this was one of my favorite games. Just glad I got it working.

@GeistInTheMachine Aoe 2 is my favorite and Doom is awesome. Matter of fact, I have the original 3.5" disks that Doom came out on, and they still work.
