I need a new hobby.

I've lost interest in a lot of things.
Except... Video games. Particularly "Dead By Daylight".

I stopped cooking mostly.
Stopped baking mostly.
Stopped writing as much.
Cut back on reading..
Haven't drawn in months. Since February.

But for some reason, I have been more addicted to playing DBD, Don't Starve Together, Pok茅mon and The Sims. Quite honestly, more addicted to tormenting my sims, but shhh.

I just need more people to play games with. 馃槄

I get that. I blame meds for giving me different interests at different times. I liked to draw growing up a lot. Then it was reading a lot. Now it's games. Been trying to mod Stellaris this morning and getting nowhere.
And socialization seems to be on a completely different reward pathway. It's weird. Lol

@Renaci Well, I mean-- Exploring different interests keeps things from getting dull. I've just been too into one particular thing and losing interest in everything else. 馃槚

@JadedJekyll Ohhh. I got you. And actually I have done that on stuff that messes with my dopamine. Like with provigil and other wakefulness agents. It can be used off label for ADHD and maybe this is how my brain responds. Just have super focus on one or two things above all else. And then I will just wear that interest out. Lol
It is like I do still like other things. I know if logically. But I don't feel as much enjoyment for that thing as opposed to my current obsession.
I think I came across the phrase enjoying vs liking and it has something to do with the satiety of something. Which can def be altered with chemicals. Or even just naturally vary over time.
Brains and medications are really interesting. Especially when they interact. Lol

@Renaci Medications can be scary when they interact too. 馃

@JadedJekyll Oh def! I have been on some odd combinations. I always like to test one at a time though so I know what each one is doing by itself. Heck I have been on Alzheimer's meds before because some of them are NMDA receptor antagonists which COULD be an etiology for my main issue. But I was sooo sleepy on it and it didn't do anything so I didn't continue using it.
