I’m bad at playing Sonic

I need some video game advice.

Why am I so bad at playing any of the Sonic the Hedgehog games from Sonic Genesis? I try to play slowly and not rush through each of the platform levels, but I constantly bump into sprites and constantly loose rings.

Even when I jump on the sprites I loose rings. Is there something I’m not doing right, or do I just naturally suck at these games?

I couldn’t get past the original 3 games as well as the other hacks

I beat sonic in like an hour and got all the emeralds in that spinning place

@TryingtoLava oh good for you! I’m expressing how frustrated I am at not being good at Sonic and here you are being like “oooh I was able to beat sonic” and blah blah blah, rubbing it in my face

@MyLegGuy2020 They've got a point. You're not really supposed to go slow on the old sonic games. Avoiding enemies and speeding your way to boss fights is typically how the game is played.
