What is your favorite Assassin's Creed game and why?

So I'm a pretty big fan of the Assassin's Creed franchise. I love playing the games and exploring the lore and the historical fiction. There are obviously some inconsistencies in the portrayal of the time periods and I feel like with the latest one, Valhalla, they essentially turned the TV show Vikings into an Assassin's Creed game, especially with the dress and hair styles.

Anyway, my favorite game is Brotherhood. I think it's a good story, it is everything that Assassin's Creed is. It's Ezio in his prime, and I enjoy the game play and the ability to send new recruits out on missions and can use them for help.

It barely edges out Black Flag because I do love getting to play as a pirate and it was nice to see a new way of becoming an Assassin. I also respect the fact that they didn't go for the typical stereotypes of pirates we see in other media.

So respond which game is your favorite and why.

i am just about to start this series,, I am told 3 is the best starting place

@Amylynne if you want to get the best story and progression of the mechanics and how it's changed over the years, start with Assassin's Creed, then 2, Brotherhood, Revelations, Rogue, 3, 4: Black Flag, and then skip Unity and go to Syndicate

@Amylynne that's Origins. And it's an RPG style game, the games before that one...well, you'll see what I mean. It's a stealth and assassinate style game series
