Playing Ori and the Blind Forest

OMFG, I'm loving the game don't get me wrong but MF I'm at a chase scene of need to get away from water and I feel like it's near impossible to get through, I feel like I should of stayed back to upgrade the character a bit more before continuing if I had realise what I was going in for, I don't want to completely restart the game just cause of this one part.
