Do you get intense pain in your ears when flying?

I very seldom fly, I prefer to take the train. It helps me to be comfortable and catch up with my reading.

Tomorrow I will take a train from Amsterdam to Paris, high speed trains only take just over three hours between the two cities. I will likely get my breakfast done, and a chapter or two of the biography of Yoko Ono that I am currently reading.
