Too late for you to change that phrase . . .
The train has left the station🤣😂🤣
Bob Dylan says - It Takes a Lot to Laugh,
It Takes a Train to Cry
Also - There's a slow, slow train comin' up around the bend
Johnny Cash could hear it from Folsom Prison:
I hear the train a-comin', it's rolling 'round the bend
And I ain't seen the sunshine since I don't know when
I'm stuck in Folsom prison, and time keeps draggin' on
But that train keeps a-rollin' on down to San Antone
In fact, that Train Kept a Rollin' all night long!!!
[media=https://youtu.be/98XL03W9CN4]
Could 'a been a Love Train
(as seen on Soul Train)
[media=https://youtu.be/_BlkTSKqE_8]
Or a Peace Train
[media=https://youtu.be/Sdq4T3iRV80]
Or even a Mystery Train

@ElwoodBlues No matter how good those songs may be, they are irrelevant to this particular question if they don't use the phrase "train station". I have already mentioned a classic American hit that has "railway station" in it.

@NankerPhelge I have already mentioned that 'train' refers to the moving vehicle, a major option for travel. 'Railway' refers to the stationary track along which the vehicle moves. I think many people prefer to use the word that refers to vehicles and travel rather than stationary rails.

@ElwoodBlues OK, I'll ask again. Why did Simon and Garfunkel call it a railway station (and not a train station) in the song "Homeward Bound"?
ElwoodBlues · M
@NankerPhelge To fit the meter & rhyme of the song.
Same reason Dylan called it a 'train line' here:
Mona tried to tell me
To stay away from the train line
She said that all the railroad men
Just drink up your blood like wine
An’ I said, “Oh, I didn’t know that
But then again, there’s only one I’ve met
An’ he just smoked my eyelids
An’ punched my cigarette”
Oh, Mama, can this really be the end
To be stuck inside of Mobile
With the Memphis blues again

@ElwoodBlues @NankerPhelge Although this might not have been among his biggest "hits", Jimi Hendrix was almost surely listened to and appreciated by those other than but including Americans.
