@Roundandroundwego I think there is certainly a place for electric vehicles, but for Australia they are unsuitable with the very large distances, most population on the east coast (plus perth in WA) and a landmass the size of mainland usa with about 10 percent of the population.

@butterflybaby75 Most Australians live in urban areas where EVs are fine. Not so practical for long distance until recharging is sorted out.

@SW-User The trouble with that is yes 75 ish percent lives in a 'band' within 100 km of the east/southeast mainland coast, but try driving around the rest with one? No EV ute or 4wd exists currently that can tow big trailers or caravans over long distances without multiple multi-hour recharging stops. And Aussies love 4wd's and caravaning/camping in a big way.

@Funlov Never say never. Pretty much every car brand around has had it's ownership traded/transferred sometime in the last 20 or so years.
