Is it an insult to the civil service to call Uber government work?
And I'm not talking about the drivers. I'm talking about the corporation.
We get SMS through our VoIP telco. This hasn't been a problem for Uber before, but then they suddenly refused to recognize such SMS services and let us find out for ourselves! Even though they sent us 2FA messages to access the portal, when we try to book a ride, it just said an error occurred when pushing "CONFIRM"! I had to spent 20 minutes in chat w/tech support before they finally told me what the problem was!
As wildly inefficient as government is, they've never pulled the rug out from under me like this.
