Back in the days these were a common feature on older subway cars. This one now part of Train and Subway motif in a bar not far from NY Penn Station.
Question to ponder, how many hands grasped this handle as riders stood riding holding on in a crowded subway car over the years before these handles were no longer needed and removed?
