What do you think of airlines charging people based on how much they weigh?

Airlines have always weighed passengers for at least the last 50 years. They use international averages for male/female weights depending on the country of flight origin, then adjust those numbers for winter travel because people wear more clothes.

But more to your question, it costs money in fuel to carry weight on an airplane. In fact, it even costs money in fuel to carry extra fuel. A 400 pound fat person who weighs more than twice as much as an average male or female, costs more than 2 times more to carry that fat person around than it does to carry the average weight person around.

200 pounds of fat shouldn't get a free ride as far as I'm concerned!

@SandWitch I think they will count them as live animal cargo, whales, and dump them in the hold in properly certified shipping containers
