I kinda wanna buy a motorcycle but the statistics of accidents on them kinda worry me 👀

You can be the best rider in the world... but that doesn't mean other people are 🤷
As a kid, we had this family friend who loved motorcycles. He gave me rides all the time just for fun.

One day he left our house, barely turned the corner, & a Tahoe pulled out in front of him outta nowhere. He went head first into the Tahoe & ever since then he's been paralyzed from the neck down. Never rode another bike again.

Shit I've even seen a dude who's leg was hanging off by just a small piece of skin 😶 it was brutal asf. He crashed his bike & slid sideways. The road rash literally took his leg off completely & I didn't see it happen, but I saw him on the ground screaming & no ambulance was there yet. So it had just barely happened.

Shit was kinda traumatizing. Every time I tell myself to get a motorcycle, I think about that stuff & I'm like "nah... I don't trust other drivers". It seriously pisses me off when I see cars driving so close to motorcycles like they don't care. I give them sooo much space it's ridiculous. People just don't know how to drive 🤷

They say 9 out of 10 people who own motorcycles, WILL crash on it at some point in their life. That's crazy to me 👀 so there's only a 10% chance that you won't crash. Damn

Idk the statistics but if you told me it's the most common cause of death in young men I'd believe you. I mean it probably is in my country. They are pretty and can be convenient and fun but they are real killers. I've seen how they damage people and too many times it's not even the driver's fault.

@HannibalAteMeOut motorcycle riders are nearly 30x more likely to die in a crash compared to enclosed vehicles. & About 90% of motorcycle owners will crash at some point in their lives. There's more stats tham that but those are the only ones I know off the top of my head.

I mean I've lived a wild life but those statistics are a bit too wild for me 😶 it's sad how often it's not the riders own fault too

@ChiefJustWalks it's too much. But also depends on the driving education and conscience that's common in each place. If you lived here I'd tell you don't even think about it 😬
