Two people I know in motorcycle accidents....One very badly injured, one didn't make it. :(

The man who lost his life was only someone I knew online, which doesn't diminish the loss, but the other, who was badly injured, I've known for nearly 35 years. We don't know much about him, but we do know he had to have operations on his skull and there is brain damage, the extent to which we're unsure. His wife and the family are radio silent. Go Fund Me is up, and they already have double the amount they were asking for...that's how much people love this guy.

Tomorrow is not guaranteed for any of us. That person you haven't spoken to or seen in a while? Don't delay--who knows when you'll run out of chances.

Those of you who ride....please be extra careful; it's like something is in the air.

This is why i spent over $2000 on protective gear. Top line back protector ,boots , gloves , jackets , padding , bracing and neck and core protection .

And ride defensively .

People can never understand , or forget , how vuknerable we are on a bike . The only things we have in our favour are our wits, quick accelation and stopping , and high manouvreability.
But they only work if you see it , or anticipate it coming .

Rarely does one come out of a bike accident with just a scrape.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your online friend and the fellow who was severely injured. Indeed, life can be gone in an instant.

From what you're telling me. It's unlikely the guy with injuries will survive.
And yep. That's just how abrupt life can be. :(
