One time my father was drunk at home and started yelling at everyone.. he calmed down and announced that he was going to drive to the beach.. it was late , around 10 pm..
He wanted someone to go with him but nobody would speak up, my mother was angry and afraid at the same time I think..
Anyway i finally said that I'd go.. i was around 10 years old.
My mother tried to say no but my father wouldn't listen and took me outside and we drove to the beach..
He had his beer and i didn't say anything..
We stayed for a long time while he sat and drank more and more.
Finally at around 3am he said we were going home.. he barely got the truck out of the parking lot when he pulled over and told me to drive..
I could barely see over the dashboard but i somehow managed to drive us home.. the thirty minute drive took almost 2 hours because I drove so slowly..
By the time we got home the light was coming up..
My mom put me to bed and told me to never do that again..
What a night.
