What kind of fuel ? Silly putty doesn’t always work.

@jackson55 oh. Yeah you are correct. That’s why there was a failure initially in the first place. Silicone swelled up.

@OriginalDumbMan Don’t recall the product number, but Locktite makes some good stuff for that app.

@jackson55 But I have sealed the gap with nitrile rubber gasket to take the compression load and applied little rtv silicone. Hope it works for a years.

@OriginalDumbMan A nitrile gasket is the best bet if the surfaces are flat.
