The need for that classic rumble and speed

Always the woman who loves the muscle cars!

Forget cell phones and social media, let's go back to the muscle car era.

Banging those gears out!

@Magenta oh yeahhhh... i love that song !
Rambler · 61-69, M
@Magenta it all felt more real, if that makes any sense..
You're my kind of girl.
Magenta · F
@MsSwan Yay! 🥰
Harmonium1923 · 56-60, M
So cool! I bought a car with a manual transmission last year and I’m loving it! A totally different kind of driving.
Harmonium1923 · 56-60, M
@Magenta Charger? Challenger?
Magenta · F
@Harmonium1923 My Charger I bought new in 2014. Still have it.
But I may want a new challenger now.😁
Magenta · F
@Harmonium1923 Oops I accidentally deleted the woman smashing gears video. I'll uploaded again as soon as I get back from my ride.

I love driving stick. I’m not a muscle-car woman, but I do like manual transmissions. I love the feel of it, the control, but automatics are better in traffic and on hills. 😄
Harmonium1923 · 56-60, M
@Magenta Mine does well in the snow. The low gears are helpful. Of course I also invested in the best possible snow tires!
Magenta · F
@ChampagneOnIce @Harmonium1923 Mmhm. But taking off on hills on snow and ice = Yikes! It's been so long now since I went to automatic maybe I've forgotten. 😄
ChampagneOnIce · 51-55, F
@Magenta Ice is scary regardless of the transmission!
HumanEarth · F
That's me, I love the manual transmission, the low rumble exhaust of a flat head

Here's my 1948 Ford V8 Flat head

@HumanEarth Rawr! That sound is such a turn on. 🔥

I had a 1970 Olds Delta 88. 445 hp 👍

Big back seat for poon!
Virgo79 · 61-69, M
Remember those days, power you could feel.
But a power shift is the way to go, why let off the gas😁
Magenta · F
@Virgo79 Right on. Feel it like an entire body experience.
I might be a little obsessed today..

But this vvv Haha!

anythingoes477 · 31-35, M
1939 Plymouth Coupe............455 c.i. Buick....397 hp. Dyno'ed
Magenta · F
@anythingoes477 Quality. All steel bodies, no plastic.
anythingoes477 · 31-35, M
@Magenta Glass makes sense for long term maintenance.........no rust ever............but I would never want anything but all steel. Mine is.

I have shown my car against glass cars and beat them consistently for looks and paint. Twice winner of Best in Class at the Cobblestone Nationals. Once Best of Show. 79 trophies overall........only 1 second place place trophy. Most are First.........but a lot of them are People's Choice and Best of Show.

That is saying something considering my steel is 87 years old and fiberglass sitting next to me is 6 months old.
Magenta · F
@anythingoes477 That is so cool. Post a photo maybe?

Magenta · F
@bowman81 Woohoo.. but just doesn't have the sound of the muscle cars.
bowman81 · M
@Magenta That is a modern replica car with "compliant" emissions control and pipes. Trust me when I say a 427 Ford FE side oiler with dual quads and 485+ HP running through the gears sounds great!
Magenta · F
@bowman81 Sweet. If that's the kind of car you like.
