When I was last over in UK, I got a lesson in how the Brits park a Smart Car.
In Uk, they use parallel parking on the streets. Using a Smart Car, they use perpendicular parking in a parallel parking spot, where 2 Smart Cars can use just 1 parallel parking spots by parking at right-angles to the curb!
No wonder at the Brits won World War II single handedly!
