Car battery dies -> Get battery replaced

Battery dies again 3 days later -> Okay, something else is wrong, get it towed to the place I bought it from to take a look at it.
They fix it. I pay $1K. Battery dies 1 month later.

Man. I've gone through that exact same story
DDonde · 31-35, M
@caPnAhab What’d it end up being for you?
caPnAhab · 26-30, M
@DDonde I don't exactly remember. I think it was around $2000.

The shop was supposed to find out what was draining my battery but it took them a few tries. Took me a few trips and a few dead batteries

Where did you take it
DDonde · 31-35, M
@deadgerbil Local place that I originally bought it from.
My thinking was that I would have some leverage since they originally sold me it in the first place.

@DDonde I need to take my work truck into Firestone. They seem to be pretty competent with the times I've brought it in previously

@deadgerbil I would be less than polite. Likely alternator/regulator issue... OR something draining battery while "off." Some cars have known issues for this from bad initial design.

I would be expecting ALOT of gratis labor at this point if same shop, tho' prob. less frustration to take elsewhere..
