The mercury will run in spite of you, not because of you. Body on frame and rear wheel drive is the way to go.

Which one is cheaper to insure? Any would be an excellent choice.

Why are you wanting to drive old junk that's between 17 and 26 years old?

That old 2000 Grand Marquis was an old man's car 26 years ago even when it was brand new and any guy who was an old man 26 years ago and bought one brand new from a Dealership is now sitting inside a ceramic urn on top of someone's fireplace mantle today.
