2010 is new to us haha. You should met my husband. He hates anything that don't have a carburetor and wasn't made in the the 1970s or older.
He says "If it's fuel injected... It's Junk!"

@ThickMadame haha what about what my friend said?

@ThickMadame I cant say I agree with your husband. I like my modern creature comforts. However. Somewhere between 2016 and Covid cars went through a tipping point where the level of tech means the car is less durable and more disposable. Getting 300,000 km out of a 2025 car is going to be harder and harder to achieve..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman We have a big truck that is easily over 40 years old, but has to have over 1 million miles on it. Sure the engine, transmission and differential have been rebuilt or replaced a few times in its life. But it's a whole lot cheaper to fix then replacing

@ThickMadame I absolutely agree. And thats the sensible business model..But the latest passenger cars have more in common with a microwave than a truck.. They are made to go obsolete..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman I fix my my typo. It's 40 years, not 4 years

@ThickMadame So completely pre computer. Like back when I could work on my own cars. Those days are long gone.

@whowasthatmaskedman Not if you only buy pre 1984 and thats still cheaper then a brand-new car. Even one that's been fully redone

@ThickMadame My last experiment with that was a 1965 Humber super snipe.. Sadly not reliable enough for a daily drive and only 14 miles to the gallon. (And thats those full size Imperial gallons) But my 2018 Outlander will see me out now..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman Our daily driver is a 1974 Chrysler Newport with a 440 big block I think .5 miles to the gallon. The fuel truck just follows us to town, no need to stop at the gas station
