For all of you electric car owners, how is the charge in your batteries holding up in this cold weather?

@cherokeepatti Noooooo we are to far south. It was 41 degrees here today. We start warming up on Friday and by Saturday we'll be in the 70's again. In Panama City Beach in the Panhandle they got 6 inches of snow though. That's unheard of for them.

@Musicman Does your house even have a way to heat it?

@cherokeepatti Yes it does! We had to replace our HVAC system a few years ago and you can be sure I paid the extra to have heat installed too. 🙂🙂🙂 I have the thermostat set for 66 degrees right now.

@Musicman oh that seems cold to me. I have mine set on 73 degrees. I like to bake and do laundry on cooler days, helps to add some heat to the house. The house would feel warmer if I could add enough humidity to it. Right now the humidity level is 20%. Running a humidifier day & night doesn’t seem to help when the heat comes on so often.

@Musicman Being on rat poison I get the chills easy, mine is constant at 82.

@NativePortlander1970 God bless you 🙏🙏🙏 I couldn't afford that heating bill in the winter. Of course you would love the summer here. 🙂

@Musicman $200+ in the past years with electric baseboard heat, but since using a small space heater on me directly now, I have shaved off an average of $65 these past several months.

@NativePortlander1970 That's fabulous! We have had a couple of months in the summer where it has cost me $365 to keep the house at 76 degrees.

@NativePortlander1970 I had to turn the thermostat up to 78. I just can't pay over $300 a month.
