I Love Classic Cars

My dad passed away in '14 and cars are what we always bonded over and connected over, my dad had so many while I was growing up, the one I remember the most was a 1965 corvette, it was blue and the feeling I got while riding in it with my dad as a little boy was amazing, I so cherish those memories I have, about 20 years ago or so I wanted to find a corvette of my own, I couldn't afford a '65 so I found a '74 corvette stingray convertible that I could afford and I bought it, it so happens to be the same color blue as my dad's was. I have owned for over 20 years now and it always connects me to my dad.

I owned a 80 corvette in dark metallic blue. I restored - fully - a 1954 pennant blue shoreline beige interior corvette, it took me a year to do it and it was quite a car when I was done with it. I owned the 80 for a very long time almost from new - but honestly it was not a very good car, heavy on maintenance, short on reliability and quality. Fun to drive but very poor build quality and I have graduated and I am NOT going back.

I have a delightful classic Mercedes Sedan in pristine condition that is the epitome of build quality, reliability, and performance. We inherited a Cadillac sedan that is a delightful family car which is no where near the drivers car that the Mercedes is but is an excellent highway cruiser and as we use both sparingly is quite a good car for what it is.
