My sister once filled her engine up with water. She was on the phone with my dad and after a few minutes he asked why it was taking her so long to add water.
A guy I worked with years ago filled the radiator on an old forklift with gas and then came and got me because it wouldn't start. I asked "Did you check the gas?" He removes the radiator cap and tells me it's full. The gas cap was behind a door on the side of the engine compartment and the radiator cap was visible so that must be where the gas goes. Another time either him or his buddy filled it up with diesel, at least they got it in the right hole. I never figured out why there was even a can of diesel in the warehouse.
