It's funny how some people interpret things.
I had to tell a customer that her car has an oil leak. Then I explained to her how to keep it under control. Somehow she interpreted everything I said as, "Now that you took your car to us, you have to keep an eye on all these things. But if you hadn't come here then everything would be fine." She didn't understand that all of this would have happened whether she came here or not. She got so upset that I could see her belly rising and falling from heavy breathing, demanded to talk to a manager, and then drove away before I could get one.
That's like going to the doctor and then blaming the doctor for whatever health concerns he brings up.
I guess next time I'll just say something like, "You have an oil leak. Bye."
