Long talk with a car salesman/retired army guy last night

Most salesman want the highest dollar sale , he went through all the specs and showed where I don't need a F-350 a 250 will work out fine for me . I even told him that I had a pre approved trade in certificate from Ford and he didn't mind. He'll need a day or two to get the color I want and explained that the gooseneck ball is a dealer item or can be installed elsewhere,
What is so hard about upfront honesty.

Up front honesty is becoming a thing of the past unfortunately I'm glad you found someone who is not like that!

Greed and the love of money will push people to lie from my perspective.

That’s the way my boss was when I worked at a used car lot. Customers would bring their teens to buy their first vehicles and he would warn them that their first car was likely to get wrecked because they are new drivers and not to over buy something expensive for the first vehicle. . He would tell them about the features of the vehicles before they bought and no heavy pressure.
