Any electric car fanboys or gridgirls here that are fully indoctrinated into the Cult of Electric Jesus Christ now ? 8-)

They're not common here in Australia due to price (A Telsa model S for example is about A$140k), unsuitability, range, not much public charging infrastructure, etc. but slowly getting more and more. I've not driven one except a hybrid Toyota Camry hire car a few times. No experience with plug-in hybrid or full electric cars as yet.

I'm unsold on how they are 'better' for the planet as all the 'savings' in low emissions is lost in other ways making them equal or worse than existing petrol/diesel vehicles.

It's business as usual.
Fans may want to look up lithium mining and battery production, and their countries' main source of electricity.
