Don’t want an electric car I have an electric bike. I can even charge it up by solar if I wanted to but it’s easier to plug into the wall. If an electric car could be charged by a solar panel that would be a great thing .

@Repete I was lookung into getting one.
What kind did you get and was it expensive?

I bought a Radmission for $1000.00 actually I’ve bought two but mostly because I wanted an extra battery ( have never needed it yet) . The battery Faust’s over half the price of a bike. But if I needed spare parts I have them also. So far I’ve used mine a lot and have had no problems at all . I can overload it ( with weight) a lot, go on trails or on the road and I get about 50 miles easy riding.
One thing I changed was the seat I don’t like those skinny seats I like something to sit on that doesn’t go up my crack. Sorry. @Adrift

@Repete Does it handle hills? We have a pretty good steady climb up a hill. I used to be able to power up these hills on a manual bike but now the knees are giving me hell.

I have a few hills here and most of them I can go over without even pedaling, mine has pedal assist plus a throttle , I don’t have problems with my knees but I do have problems with my hip when I walk over rough terrain, on my bike that doesn’t bother.
When you have problems walking or getting around it takes a lot of the fun out of simple things you use to do. Sorry about your knees.@Adrift

@Repete Thanks for the info.
I think I am leaning towards the commuter model.
After spending $41.00 just to top off my gas tank, I dicided that an e bike with a rack to cruise and run errands on would eventually pay for itself.

I think it works great . I have saddlebags, actually they can be almost any backpack , I’ve put hooks on them so it’s easy to pop on or off I have had over 50 lbs on the back of mine. 😂 I had a bushel of clams on the back in two saddlebags. It wasn’t meant for that but it worked and still made the hills.@Adrift
