Given unlimited funds, what car would you get?

For me I’d try to get something rare that no one else had, or at least not many people have - maybe a red 1979 BMW M1 😊

Tesla model-S, I wanna save the 🌎 with my feet up on the dash 🤭

Just a friendly challenge here - the Tesla is very green in terms of its running, however, what about the making of it, the transporting of parts across the world to put it together and the mining of the Lithium for the battery - as a complete package is it actually as environmentally friendly as first impressions might suggest? @BlueVeins
@Claire2k Well said what about the battery and wires and all the steel needed to make it huh DID YOU KNOW allllllllll those parts are brought in by trucks and boat ya not sooo grean

Well - I didn’t mean to suggest this persons choice bad in any way, I just feel that in general, people don’t often look at all the facts! @Elizabeth28

@Elizabeth28 It's not perfect & there's no ethical consumption under capitalism, but the vast, vast majority of a car's environmental footprint occurs during operation. Comparing the delivery of parts by truck to the hundreds of thousands of miles the car will actually drive is like comparing a drop of water to the vastness of the Ocean.

@Claire2k I mean yeah there's a very clear environmental footprint, but it's about as clean as I can get, I reckon. Well, short of buying a smaller electric car... but I want auto-drive 😩

I think it’s definitely a good thing you’ve clearly thought about this area - many people don’t!! Or don’t want to! I’m certainly not getting at you at all, I was just curious more than anything about the environmental side of the production of the electrical vehicles - I know mining Lithium is a pretty intensive process and I read one time that the Prius in its whole cycle from getting raw mats out the ground to disposing of its parts once it’s done with was pretty questionable mainly due to that battery.

However - from a driver point of view - this bit we can control is kinda important isnt it which points towards electric vehicles 🚗 😎@BlueVeins

@Claire2k I mean yeah, batteries in general are really horrible for the environment. Definitely recycle those fuckers if you can. I tend to think the worst part is the cobalt mining, just from a human rights perspective, but obviously pumping CO2 in the atmosphere has its own human rights problems.
