I Love Classic Cars

1987 Buick Grand National

I know some people would debate weather a car from the 80s is classic, but just look at it. It's beautiful.

being little with the family at Pocono Raceway seeing the Grand National on the track
@saragoodtimes Ever been to Nazareth Speedway?
@Elandra77 was there for a couple of Indy car races before it closed. now just weeded over been up for sale for years
@saragoodtimes It was closed in 2004 and sold in 2016 to one who has no plans FOR ir but it going to convert some to farm land. Some Jaindl that is a bit famous in the area. I have no idea. I am in Somerset, Pa and we have Jennerstown Speedway and used to be past of a regional NASCAR eastern circuit. Many of whom went to fame did race there though. I find the layout of Pocano rather disturbing.

I hate to see Nazareth suffer that fate.

@Elandra77 Jaindl is a big turkey processor in the area. the track was built by Roger Penske with minority ownership by the Andrettis. they were hoping to get a Nascar race but it never happened and Indy car raced in Oct when it was cooler and never drew well. it was a good idea with bad timing. Pocono was always a dump and they finally put money into it when Nascar threatened to pull out. now it's pretty nice and like the tri oval design
@saragoodtimes Didn't it exist as a Busch series (Saturday afternoon races) for a while? I knew the Andretti's had some say in it. I thought it was more. Thanks for the info on the new owner.
@Elandra77 think they ran a busch race there for 2 years not much longer. had a lot of complaints with the noise and traffic from the locals who never got behind the project
