Wow! Certainly pays to shop around for car insurance!

@Barny52 They're supposed to be stopping new customers getting better deals. My current insurer was mid-range in price.

@Fluffybull yes supposedly stopped years ago but I’m not sure, why can i change and get a better deal ??

@BobbyMoeven A bit mad. I had read that with inflation etc car insurance premiums here may go up by as much as 40% but why such a difference between insurers? 🤷

How is 40% a reasonable hike ?

How is charging 350% above the cost for essentially the same product legal and just ... Especially for something that's a necessity for many .

@BobbyMoeven I think insurers (and this includes house insurance) justify rises from last year coz of increase in parts/labour/electricity etc. My hubby's a builder and he's seen increase in building/roofing materials etc. But I think some companies are just taking the p**s, tbh.

@Gangstress It's ridiculous! AA was best, Churchill worst! I think Churchill must be posh person's company lol 😂 He sounded like he came from Surrey 😂 Said "is price your most important factor in car insurance?" I felt like saying "No, no! I'm just in it for the £10 Waitrose gift voucher!" 😆😉🤣

@Gangstress I think their customer must be 83 year old colonels with a 1944 Rolls that they only take out to the golf course on a Sunday 😆😂😉
