I Have Ridden On a Bus

I just dropped my son off at the Greyhound station tonight. He's going down south to see his friends and stay with his big sister. He's going to be on the bus for over 7 hours, and he's only 14.

I was kinda apprehensive at first about it, because of his age only, but he's a really cool kid. He eased my mind and in the end, as I waived goodbye, I wasn't worried in the slightest.

As I write this, I'm surprised at how comfortable I feel. Lol. He's already texted me a couple of times and there's a very cool feature on the bus website... A bus tracker! You can see where they are on the trip. It's a nice way to keep an eye on things.

I've been blessed with some very responsible and awesome kids.
I guess the question now is, what will me and the dogs do with all our free time?

Understandable enough!
Your post reminded me of the times when I had to do [c=#000000]a LOT [/c] to let my Paa allow me to go on a 6 hour long journey during our summer breaks. I understood his concerns only after a few years when my sibling had to go through the same laborious times to seek approval from me.

May the young boy enjoy a safe journey & be back in time.

Hope the busy bee is smiling along by now. 馃檪

It's hard sometimes to trust others. I do trust the kids to do just as they say, it's the other things, out of my control, that make me nervous.
He made it Ss, just as planned. 馃
@DirtyBird 馃懎 I bet you are thrilled with this achievement on his part.

Let them blossom.

A little bit of nervousness is not that bad every now & then. Helps one reflect deeper than the usual. 馃檪

I just received my niece's latest pic. She had gone out of state to take one of her GK exam & returned last eve with the memento holding in her hands. That's what she sent me now and am wondering how did these four years flew by!

She was just a tiny bundle in my hands only a while ago.

@sspec Time goes by so fast. When my kids were born, 18 years seemed like forever. Looking back, it was gone in a flash.
They are amazing people. I love to watch them grow, but that means I'm getting old too. That I'm not as keen about. Lol.
@DirtyBird No wonder, it is a delight to see them indulged in their weird ways. I get to hear her endless stories over the weekend and she is never tired to share more.
And you are the young Mom of the present era kids.
