I Have Ridden On a Bus

I just dropped my son off at the Greyhound station tonight. He's going down south to see his friends and stay with his big sister. He's going to be on the bus for over 7 hours, and he's only 14.

I was kinda apprehensive at first about it, because of his age only, but he's a really cool kid. He eased my mind and in the end, as I waived goodbye, I wasn't worried in the slightest.

As I write this, I'm surprised at how comfortable I feel. Lol. He's already texted me a couple of times and there's a very cool feature on the bus website... A bus tracker! You can see where they are on the trip. It's a nice way to keep an eye on things.

I've been blessed with some very responsible and awesome kids.
I guess the question now is, what will me and the dogs do with all our free time?

I remember my mother putting me on a train for about 10 hours when I was a child. It was the scariest thing, haha! It's honestly the best when you can trust your child to do the right thing and stay safe. My mother has a lot of trust in me and I would never smoke, do drugs, or anything bad. It's nice to see that you have that sort of trust with your son. Admirable, even. Shows that you're confident in how you've raised him.

@SW-User Thank you very much! I have confidence in him and his abilities. He had to convince me he could handle it, and he did.
Honestly, if he had been a little younger, I may have chickened out.
