I Love Boating and the Water

Midnight ht watch on the Coast Guard Icebreaker Polar Star in the South Pacific. Making my rounds as 'Bosn Mate Of the Watch'. We just crossed the equator a few days earlier and cruising at a good speed from Hawaii to Bora Bora Tahiti.

I'm standing on the flight deck and hear the churning water off the stern and the humm of the engines from down below deck

I look up at the star filled sky. Millions of them. Uncountable and gorgeous.

I walk down to the main deck and take a look over the side.

I see the intense blue glow of phosphorus as the water is splashed against the hull. Mesmerizing and beautiful.

And for a moment I think of the 'Big Man Upstairs' who created all this. Simply amazing.
