Rearview mirrors

It's important to have rearview mirrors on your bike so you can see behind you, whether you're riding on a bike path or along the side of the road. I'm also going to install something similar to these on my upcoming tricycle.

The turn signals are built into the taillights and headlights, so nothing extra is needed, but a GPS, an alarm, and anti-theft decals will also be installed—and maybe a GoPro camera at some point.

Thats nuts

Theres enough shit spying on us and you want to add more

@HumanEarth He's not "spying" on anyone. Many motorists, motorcyclists and cyclists use small video camers now, and for very good reasons.

They don't use faeces though. I gather it's not very good for such purposes.

I can certainly recommend the mirrors.

Not what I did late one night though...

Cycling along a straight, unlit rural road, my mirror reflected light coming over a low hill about half a mile astern. A few moments later, a single, large light appeared.

Confident the motorcyclist would see me in my flourescent tabard and good weather conditions, I kept close to the verge.

Odd, I thought a little later, it's still behind me.

It took a few more moments to realise my mirror was reflecting the full Moon!
I only have mirrors on the left as that's the only side something will be coming up next to me. I'm not sure how to mount a mirror on this underseat steering recumbent I have. Probably a helmet mounted mirror.

@LeopoldBloom I think two rear view mirrors is the best option one on each side. Cars, motorcycles etc have two so why not on an electric bicykle then?
