Check it out. My new bike just came in the mail.

I just finished putting it all together and I'm probably more proud than I should be...

That's great. Most of the bikes I own were bought by mail. Even if the seller says "local pickup only," it's easy to find a bike shop that will collect it and send it to you.

that would be convenient If they could do a service on it before sending it to me.

Instead, I'll probably take it to a bike shop myself @LeopoldBloom
@caPnAhab The last one I bought, the shop that packed it noticed one of the idlers was broken, so I had them take care of it before they sent it. You just have to arrange to have it done on that end or you have to do it on your end.

If all it needs are tires, that's not difficult to do yourself. I learned how to work on bikes by working on my own. You don't have to invest in special tools like a third hand brake grip or a crank puller, but you should be able to change a tire.
