"They don't make 'em like they used to"

You hear people say that about cars. Would you say that's generally true about bicycles?

I just mangled my gear shifter... I've only owned this bike for a few months.

I'd say that's true for everything...

But I could quickly tear up a plastic gears on a bike... so I had to make sure they were metal, and sooner or later I'd rough those up too.

One thing that sorta interest me is those electric bikes, I'm half interested, and half like I'll spend money and it'll quickly break on me...

that's just my luck though, that stuff breaks on me
