I bought it cheap at a pawn shop a few years ago and spent further money to fix it up. I also rode it to work and to college, so it was very sentimental. It got stolen at my work place.
For at least a year now, I've had this yellow one but it's just not the same. It's still pretty good though.
Despite me fixing up the red one, it was still far from perfect. Maybe even dangerous to anyone that didn't know about it's quirks. Maybe the bike thief got a face full of gravel??
There's a problem with theft and vandals in the area. One coworker had his bicycle stolen months later. Another coworker had a rock thrown into her car window.
I've heard with bike thieves, they often sell them online within the local area. At the time I didn't think to look.
