Are they even a real purpose for such a rhing ?
I think they are useless

I've seen people around here stop while going around to yield to someone trying to get on.

@minoltaguy That works in Paris on the Arc de Triomphe roundabout. That one does scare me - no insurance cover on the roundabout !!
