Damn tire I had plugged is going flat again

So I was able to leave work early to get a new set of tires and will be going back once they are on. I was going to wait until Tuesday, then Friday, then I thought, I can leave work and come back, no points.

Sitting in the waiting room currently. $474 out the door from what I was told.

@Musicman Thanks. I was hoping to get a tire that was a bit more on the higher end, the guy said it's a discount tire, 50,000 miles but he said it's a good tire.

@Musicman he said it so fast, all I heard was, well the only tire we have in stock is the [__________] it's a discount tire, 50k miles but it's a good tire, I gave him a thumbs up and said, yeah let's do it.

When he said, well the only tire I have is, my brain went to pissed off mode and I didn't hear what the brand was. I thought he was going to say, "well the only tire we have in stock isn't made for your car so we have nothing" and that's why my brain went to pissed off mode.

But I'll ask what the brand was before I leave. The ones I have now are called Prinx.

@twiigss Prinx is definitely an off brand. I have never heard of them before.

@Musicman yeah I thought so. I once had Yokohama tires on my old car and they did really good. I wonder if my tire place only does discount tires.

Maybe next time I should look at going to Goodyear. Sure I'll pay more money but I want a tire that will last

@twiigss Yokohama is a good tire. I just put Toyo on the motorhome. Goodyear is good too. 🙂 Are you going to have lunch out after they finish with the tires.

@Musicman well, to your earlier question about what brand of tire it is, they are called advanta and I had my lunch at 12:10 like normal after I came back to work

@Musicman Yes and I was wrong about the price, $470, $90 a tire. That was cheaper this time than last time. I was hoping to get an 80k mile tire for maybe $150 to $200 a tire? I like low prices, but I want a tire that is going to be a quality tire.

@twiigss I definitely understand and agree with you, but these should definitely last you a few years. Give you some time to save a few dollars. Then next time you can buy the good ones.
