The beast in us all
You are driving down the road, maybe it is early in the morning, maybe very late, or just a road few travel on. Relaxed, taking your time, enjoying the scenery, then you see him/her. The car headlights in the rearview mirror and you wonder where they came from, how they caught up to you so fast. As soon as they see you they speed up. The prey is there in front of them, the easy target.
Meanwhile your speed is inching up as well, not wanting to look weak. You don't notice it right away, but you are suddenly focused on that car behind you, all thoughts of relaxation gone. Some sense of perceived danger lurking.
They approach quickly, getting a little too close to your back-end.
Do you step on it, or maybe pull over, or just keep going, the fool can pass you if they want, lots of space and time, no opposing traffic, but they don't, they just sit there, attached to your tail, making you sweat.
You are at a crossroad, neither side knows what the other is going to do. Maybe you slam on your brakes (evil laugh), or maybe when they pull out to pass you you swerve and bump them off the road.. or maybe the trunk opens up and 4-50mil automatic weapons pop out and aim at the driver.. what happens then?
