when i was a kid my dad hit a bear...twice. the same bear. it was on the side of the road as we turned a corner and the bear lunged into the car and boom! we drove up a bit to check the damage and decided to turn around into town to report it to the rangers. that's when the bear ran across the highway and charged the car...my dad had no chance to stop and boom...we hit it again and that's when the radiator exploded....i'll never forget that.
@beermeplease Grizzly?

@NativePortlander1970 no. a black bear but huge. that's what made it interesting because black bears are not that agressive so it was weird how it attacked the car a second time. grizzlies are rare in that part of the island. but they can be found in the northern part. they have been known to swim across from the mainland
@beermeplease Unreal, plus black bears don't get that large either

@NativePortlander1970 .. PA has a black bear or two taken nearly every year in hunting season that are over 800 lbs .. not grizzly big .. but quite big for black bears
