Had to put a plug in my tire today

I wish we could have airless tires. I recently lost a good tire because of a nail. They say they are working on airless technology they say it’s really hard to do.

Even if they are telling the truth even when they do come out they’re gonna be really expensive.

This is of course for regular cars and trucks I’m talking about I know we have airless tires and other things

I had to patch an inner tube on my tractor today and it was filled with 80 gallons of Calcium Chloride

We used calcium chloride to add weight for better traction

Calcium chloride has historically been a go-to choice for several reasons. When mixed with water, the solution can withstand temperatures down to -50°F or -60°F. It’s also inexpensive and weighs about 40 percent more than straight water.

Its not that hard

@HumanEarth I know me and another guy broke the tires off the rims by using a jack and the weight of the car.

That's one way that works to

I used to use a really good tyre workshop - unfortunately the owner has retired now - who could repair punctures like that. It sounds to me like you're being ripped off!
ArtieKat · M
@Jonjdw That's their job - they have the equipment to seal the repair.

@ArtieKat plugs are very easy to use and work well I’ve used that many times. I do all my own work to my vehicles. I used to work at an auto body shop also. The plug today weren’t well. Other plugs have always worked for me. But the one a couple of weeks ago was in a bad spot. A spot you’re not supposed to plug but I tried it anyway.

@Jonjdw Whatever.

when i worked at home depot our parking lot was so bad it caused me to get 3 flat tires because of nails, insane.
Jonjdw · 51-55, M
@Moneyonmymind hopefully the tire is savable. Cause, depending upon the leak, it could get worse over time

@Jonjdw i had it checked the place i went to said they cant repair it it has to be replaced, so id rather just drive carefully and keep putting air in it

@Nunlover I would not know. Some people seem to enjoy doing that.
