My uncle once had to walk 5 miles in a storm to get petrol ⛽ after driving past a petrol station to go to a one that was cheaper, he ran out and had to walk to cheaper one and buy a container as well as petrol ,all to save 50 pence and a taxi back to his car. This was before mobile phones.
