3 on my old vw camper. One for the doors, one for ignition and one for fuel cap

Picklebobble256-60, M
One for the doors and the other for the ignition
Picklebobble256-60, M
@meggie Petrol caps didn't have locks until probably mid-80's.

Electronic ignition didn't come in until late 80's unless you had a high end car.
IwillwaitM
@meggie Petrol did not lock that way. If it had a catch it was released by a lever inside the vehicle.

@Picklebobble2 hie ignition came out from gm for most of there cats in 77 corvettes had it optional in late 60s

i'm old enough to remember we only had lap belts...heck we didn't even have "baby" seats....mom would just hold us.... the good old days..... love ya mom 馃珎
meggieF
@beermeplease and you lived to tell the tale! My uncles said there were no seat belts in the back either and if there wasn't enough room people sat the kids on their laps.

Yeah I remember. Miss those less complicated days.
supersnipe61-69, M
It varied. I had a 1962 car - a Vauxhall - which only had one key, but I know of other cars decades later which had two or three!
Highskirt56-60, M
I had three .one for ignition. One for doors and boot /trunk .one for fuel
fun4us2bM
@Highskirt Yup, before the cars were anti-siphon!

I haven't seen a trunk key in so long I forgot that I forgot they existed.
SevendaysM
I still have a car like that. Square ignition, rounded trunk and doors
justlooking202356-60, M
Oh yes, and when did you have to lift the handle of the car, maybe with the key in?
Musicman61-69, M
I do. The top square one was for the engine and the bottom round one was for the trunk.
whowasthatmaskedman70-79, M
Yep. The Glove box had a different lock..馃樂
Dawgsfan341-45, M
We have them for our 92 Oldsmobile cutlass
Convivial26-30, F
Not me... I'm guessing door and ignition?
fun4us2bM
How do you replace the battery? 馃槄
Desertteddesert26-30, M
Those are two different keys
IwillwaitM
Yep. I remember.
scorpiolovedeep46-50, M
