Why car design getting bigger and faster?

But in real world the traffic is getting congested parking space is scare,in which driver need more effort to maneuver accross narrow street and unable to drive fast.In some city the distance took more amount of time to travel with car than bicycle.

Smaller folks drive and fit inside a small car and taller folks need a bigger seat. If gas goes up all those trucks and SUVs stop selling in favor of more economical cars.
