Have you ever thought about getting a classic car and taking a road trip?

I know it isn't really practical, but I definitely think about it often. A clean classic muscle car some good music and just hit the road.

I had this 71 Firebird Formula 400 Ram Air with M22 Muncie, traction bars, centerlines, and line lock. That car was fast as hell, considering it was a pretty heavy car.

I would love to own a 67 Shelby GT500

@Synyster The nose of the Pontiac's has it all over the Camaro's. Much better looking cars in my opinion. The Firebirds, GTOs, LeMans, best looking cars of the day. When I was a youngster, my dad rebuilt manual transmissions, the M21 and M22 were apart in the garage all the time, in the back of the garage he had a stainless steel pan, he would dump 2 gallons of red leaded gasoline in it and I would wash gears and bearings, then we would put it together. I bet I helped put together 1000 Muncie transmissions.

@Roadsterrider Agree. The nose on the Firebird was all hard rubber, that's one place you did not want to ding your car.

@Stereoguy Right now I can't afford it. I've got other things that are a priority at the moment.

@Stereoguy I wish I had 100k to invest in Eleanor.

@Stereoguy Yes, but it would most likely be modified. I'm not into working on cars anymore, did that for years in my early 20's.

@Synyster Have you ever looked at the Factory Five kits? I think the 35 Chevy truck would look good in my garage.

@Roadsterrider
No I haven't. I'm sure the 35 Chevy truck would look good in anyone's garage. Lol

@Synyster I have checked them out, the 32 or the 35 would be my picks. Kits start at about $25K and if I found an old car or truck, by the time I finished it I would have at least that much in it and a lot more time and still wouldn't have modern brakes and electrical components.
