Every day you fill the well.

First thing in the morning. Sun shining or not, tired or not, you fill the well.

Throughout the day people help themselves. You are thirsty and see the well going dry, so you do the work to fill it but someone is always needing faster than you can give.

At the end of the day you are exhausted. You are so thirsty but your well is dry. People even stop by to complain that there's no water and if you tell them to fetch their own water they call you lazy, rude.

And you cannot sleep you are so thirsty. Yet you wake up and try again. Every day. Being drained and hated for not doing more, the whole time dying of thirst. Until you're dead and replaced by another idiot who will give without ever doing for themselves.

Funny that everyone is drawing from that same well.

Have a mind for the well. Not those that draw from it.
@DeWayfarer think I will dig my own well and stop sharing

@Psilocybeenbetter Ah ... yet it's all the same water table.

There's no way around the sharing.

Individualism is a myth.
@DeWayfarer then why should I die of thirst for others who only care about themselves? I don't need to be told to share, they do

@Psilocybeenbetter I said have a mind for the well. And therefore the water table which feeds that well.

If they or you poison the water table, everyone suffers.

Once again individualism is a myth.
